Need to know a bit more before you try it? Very reasonable.
First and foremost your data is yours and it is only accessible by you.
No one else has access to any of your information and it will never be shared without your consent.
To further safegaurd yourself, if you are working on a habit (probably getting rid of a bad one) don't use your real, full name for your account
and that will add another level of anonimity to your information.
As mentioned up front there are basically
a few simple steps to get started tracking your habit:
Signup
First you will need to signup and give us a few simple facts.
Basically this means pick an account name and provide an email address.
(Email address optional, but helpful.) |
|
Create a Habit
Next you will need to create one or more habits.
You will do this simply by naming it and setting up a schedule on which you wish to track it.
Everyday? Once a week? Every Tuesday and Thursday?
You should also think about how you will rate success for each of these cases. At this point
all habits are rated 1-5 Stars though we will be adding more options soon. |
|
Track your Habit
Then its a matter of stopping by and updating Habitizer with your progress.
Each time you are successful with you new habit, do a super quick update. Miss it, still put in the update, no recriminations please!
Over time this will establish the pattern and if you asked for it during creation, we will remind you if you forget to do an update
for a while. |
|
Monitor Progress
Lastly, once in a while it might make sense to check in on how you are doing.
Have you been updating? How have you been faring?
At this oint if you see good consistant ratings for some time (a month?) it may be time to up the ante
and increase your definition of success, up your frequency or even work on a whole new habit! |
